I find value and meaning in the time consumed by making textile handwork, and the relationship between body and textile. Labour and time-intensive work embodies the maker and her devotion to the process through the physical documentation of repetitive gestures. While the body is remembered through textiles that reveal evidence of a sustained interaction, it is also recalled in the intricate structures of textiles, and how they wear and decay over time.
